In GE 311 we had to make bridges out of basal wood. The final score was the max load the bridge could withstand divided by the weight of the bridge (so having a light bridge helps). My design was awesome (duh) but I ended up getting one of the worst scores in the class because of the way the bridges were loaded (a press with a tip that could pivot - it pivoted and put a horizontal force on my bridge). Oh well. This arch could hold even more textbooks than pictured and it weighed almost nothing. I will probably get a good grade anyway because Reis likes me.
