This is what the starfish looked like right after it came out of the water. The machinery behind the boat is used to fill barges with coal, or something like that.
This poor fish was caught from deep waters so he didn't fair too well when he was reeled to the surface. Decompression is not fun. That's his air bladder sticking out of his mouth.
Here's another crab pot with a crustacean friend inside. Sometimes we caught 6 crabs in one pot. At the end of the day we had 21 keepers and had a tasty feast.
